Here is a brief tutorial on how to register your website domain name.
Step 1: Virtual Tree recommends Namecheap as our preferred website domain registrar. Go to this link below:
Step 2: Enter the website domain you wish to register. This will run a check in the global database to see if your desired domain is available to be registered.
Step 3: The search will return the results and let you know if your desired domain is available and/or any other combinations that are available.
If your domain is available, ensure that the checkbox next to it is selected, then click on the “Add to Cart” button
Step 4: You will be taken to your shopping cart. Under the “Duration” column, select how many years you wish to register your domain.
If you have any coupon codes, you may enter the code into the provided field under the “Coupon Code” section to the right.
Once you have completed and double-checked your selections, you may click on the “Checkout” button to pay for your order.
Step 5: You may be asked to create an account with Namecheap, this is necessary so that you may manage your domain settings in the future. Please follow their instructions to create an account.
If you already have an account, you will be prompted to provide your account login credentials.
Step 6: Payment details. You will be prompted for your payment details. Presently, Namecheap accepts credit card payment and Paypal payments only.
It may take a few minutes for the transaction to complete. Please be patient and let it complete otherwise you may be charged twice. Once the transaction is complete you will be taken to a completed transaction page. An email of your order will also be sent to you.
