The Virtual Tree Story
Hi! I’m Vincent, the Founder of Virtual Tree, the world’s first digital un-agency.
I co-founded a global corporate training company with large corporate clients spanning the globe.
I started Virtual Tree (VT) (my second business) because I absolutely love marketing, technology and doing business online.
But not just because of that, the second reason is I felt there is a LOT of problems in the “agency” industry.
Anybody who can setup a Google Ads or Facebook Ads account call themselves an “agency” these days.
It’s why I don’t want Virtual Tree to be known as a typical agency. We are an un-agency.
VT is my way of sharing my passion in these areas and helping others with the experience and knowledge I’ve gained (and still learning) over the last twenty years in sales, marketing and starting my own businesses.
Very few other agencies can say their founder has that same amount of experience.
Don’t get me wrong, even though I’ve been in the “trenches” for over two decades, I’m not some out-of-date, know-it-all that still clings to achievements from the past…I’m regularly keeping up-to-date, reading, practicing, testing, learning all about the latest trends, tactics and strategies.
Virtual Tree is not a conventional company or agency. In fact, I don’t really like the word “agency”. Because traditional agencies are too focused on meaningless awards, credentials and vanity metrics.
All things that don’t really help a real entrepreneur or business owner. It’s why one of our motto’s is:
“A pretty website is nice, but a profitable website is better.”
Everyone at Virtual Tree is trained to focus on the things that matter most to our clients: generating sales, quality leads and return on investment (ROI). Because I’m also a business owner, I know and understand what is important to a business owner and what you expect for your hard-earned money.
Our principle values & philosophy are:
- Focus on fundamental principles & concepts that are proven to work and apply these to the relevant marketing channel/medium
- Don’t fall for the latest trend/fad in marketing
- Focus on the metrics that count (sales, ROI, etc) not vanity metrics (likes, followers, etc)
- There is ALWAYS a period of testing that’s required for each client. Any company guaranteeing immediate results is lying to you.
While I split my time throughout the year between my “3 home cities”:
- Vancouver, BC, Canada
- Hong Kong
- Auckland, New Zealand
We’re comfortable helping clients and businesses where ever you are based and we’re used to working with different time zones.
